Decades after establishing S. J. Amoroso Construction, Co. Inc., one of the San Francisco Bay Area's premier construction companies, Salvatore Amoroso saw an opportunity to diversify his business interests and began purchasing commercial real estate properties in the greater San Francisco Bay Area. In 1959 he formed
S. J. Amoroso Properties Co. as an entity separate from his construction company.

In the 1970s, the next generation of the Amoroso family got involved in both of Sal's businesses, expanding S. J. Amoroso Properties Co.'s real estate holdings beyond the Bay Area.

Today, the company's holdings continue to reflect its original goal to develop a comprehensive and diversified portfolio.

In addition to buying and selling all types of commercial properties, S. J. Amoroso Properties Co. also develops its own projects.

The company's principals have structured numerous real estate partnerships and have formed a management company to oversee its assets and interests.
